What Is Nikah

Nikah is the Islamic marriage contract that brings a husband and wife together in a lawful and blessed relationship. It is a sacred agreement that establishes rights and responsibilities for both partners while strengthening family and community ties.

Our Nikah Service Includes

Nikah Ceremony

The Nikah will be conducted by a qualified Imam who will lead the ceremony according to Islamic guidelines.

Marriage Guidance

The Imam will explain the responsibilities of marriage and offer guidance to the couple before the Nikah takes place.

Nikah Documentation

The marriage contract will be completed and signed during the ceremony by the couple and witnesses.

Mosque Venue

Requirements for Nikah

To ensure the Nikah is performed correctly, the following requirements must be fulfilled.

Bride and Groom

Both the bride and groom must be present for the Nikah ceremony.

Wali for the Bride

The bride's guardian (Wali) must be present or provide permission according to Islamic guidelines.

Two Muslim Witnesses

At least two adult Muslim witnesses must be present during the Nikah.

Identification

Valid identification may be required for the bride, groom, and witnesses.

Mahr (Dowry)

The agreed Mahr must be clearly stated and accepted by both parties during the Nikah.

Couples who wish to conduct their Nikah at Al-Madina Central Mosque and Institute are requested to contact the institute in advance to arrange a suitable date and time. Early booking helps ensure availability and allows us to prepare for the ceremony properly.
